Introduction to your Instructor

The first thing you need to know about me is that I love teaching and I love working with young people. Every day brings a new challenge and I hope that I never fail to rise to the occasion.

I take pride in my willingness to spend time with my students or their parents with the goal of helping each student reach his or her goals. I have a master's degree in Mathematics with a cognate area in Physics from MTSU. I also hold a B.S degree in Mathematics from Harding University. I have been audited and approved by the College Board for each of the courses that I teach. I have served as an adjunct at MTSU in the math department teaching Calculus I, Business Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Applied Calculus 1, and College Algebra.

On a personal note, I am a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan and also a season ticket holder for the Nashville Predators. I love sports of all types and play golf when I can. I am an avid reader (usually about 40,000 pages a year) of all types of books. I am particularly fond of the Fantasy, History, and Biography genres. I am a serious gamer and own all of the current game systems on the market. In addition, I cross-stitch, cook, and am trying to regain my lost musical skills on the violin and trombone. Although during the school year I don't have a lot of time for all my hobbies, I do enjoy them as I can.

I have two amazing parents who have been a constant support for me in all my endeavors. They are both distinguished college professors at Harding University and have won many awards for their many accomplishments during their respective careers. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends.

In all seriousness, I believe that all students benefit from taking advanced classes even if they are difficult (maybe because they are difficult). I also want to let you know that I am committed to helping each of you be the best you can be.
